Joan Burke, Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment and Minister Responsible for Housing, will attend the federal-provincial-territorial meeting of ministers responsible for housing in Gatineau, Quebec, November 29.

The agenda will focus on establishing a direction for housing activities throughout Canada that recognizes provincial needs and priorities and provides long-term sustainability.

“I look forward to meeting with my federal, provincial and territorial housing colleagues and discussing strategies and solutions to address the diverse housing challenges we face throughout Canada,” said Minister Burke. “I will ensure that Newfoundland and Labrador’s unique housing needs are clearly defined and reflected in those discussions.”
